The Richmond Kajaks Track and Field Club is both a recreational and high performance level club based in Richmond, BC, Canada with over 200 members—ranging from elementary school athletes to masters (35+ years) athletes. Click here to read our Vision Statement.

May 15/12: Accommodations for the BC Junior Development Championships meet July 27 – 30, 2012
Hilton Vancouver Airport - 5911 Minoru Blvd, Richmond, BC V6X 4C7.
The Kajaks Track and Field Club are pleased to announce Hilton Vancouver Airport hotel has offered preferred rates to participants and family members attending the BCJD Championships.

May 1/12: Fraser Valley High School Invite records set. Pending approval of an application made on behalf of Kajaks athlete Asianna Covington, a new Canadian & Provincial record was set this weekend at the Fraser Valley High School Invite. The record was set in Women’s Youth discus with a throw of 48.98m surpassing the Canadian record of 47.34m by 1.63m.
Also a notable performance by Kajaks athlete Chanell Botsis who set 3 new meet records in women’s midget category Hammer / Discus & Javelin.

April 8/12: Sam Kennedy named Athlete of the Week at Marquette by bcathletics. MILWAUKEE - Samantha Kennedy's freshman record toss of 177 feet, 3 inches in the women's hammer throw at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational has earned the British Columbia native GoMarquette.com Student-Athlete of the Week honors, presented by Audi. Kennedy's mark of 54.03 meters qualifies her for the BIG EAST Confernce Outdoor Championships and is sixth in MU.

April 8/12: Garrett Collier to Lead Track & Field Division of BC Athletics
Richmond: BC Athletics is very pleased to announce that Garrett Collier has been appointed to the position of Track & Field Technical Manager. The appointment comes after the review and consideration of very qualified applicants, said Brian McCalder, BC Athletics President/CEO. “We are very fortunate to have in Garrett an experienced NCAA coach who is also very familiar with the BC Athletics and Athletics Canada programs. He has been a high performance athlete at University (UC Berkley) and medalist while a member of Canada’s National Junior Track & Field Teams plus coaching NCAA Div I Conference and Cdn Championship medalists. All of his achievements will be a tremendous asset for Athletics in British Columbia and Canada,” concluded McCalder.
