Sanctioned by BC Road Running, a division of BC Athletics.

Regular: $23 - Until Aug 20 for mail entries, until Aug 24 at midnight for online entries
Late: $28 - Aug 25 to Aug 30
Day of race: $33
BC Athletics Members deduct $3

Preferred method. The easiest and quickest way to register for the Labour Day Weekend 8k. Payment by credit card. No surcharge - fees are the same online or offline.

In person at Forerunners, 3502 West 4th. Cash or cheque only.
Race day (August 31):
Steveston Community Centre, 4111 Moncton Rd, 7:00 to 8:00am. Cash or cheque.

Package Pickup

Pre-race: At Forerunners, 3502 West 4th.
Friday August 29th 4-8pm and Saturday August 30th 10am-4pm.
Discounts on products at the store for race participants.
Race day: Steveston Community Centre, 7:00 to 8:00am

Start/Finish

Getting to the start/finish from the Community Centre:

Begin at the main doors in front of the Steveston Community Centre.
Cross the street and proceed straight on the sidewalk along Easthope Ave. You will be going south towards the river.
Cross Bayview St. at the roundabout and continue south towards the river onto the concrete walkway that parallels the river (260 metres from Community Centre to the walkway along the river).
Turn right on the walkway that parallels the river for 80 metres to the banner that says "Kajaks".
You are now at the start and finish.

Course Description

Facilities & Services

Parking and washrooms are available at the Community Centre.
A complimentary bag check will be located in the Community Centre. All bags must be clearly marked with your race number.
Water available at start/finish and 4km.
Toilets at start/finish, and at Community Centre.
Paramedics available for First Aid.
After event refreshments are provided at the Community Centre.

Results, Awards & Draw Prizes

Computerized results will be posted following the event and posted on this site.
Join us after the race for Draw Prizes provided by Forerunners and Adidas, at Steveston Community Centre. Prize draws will start approx. 10 mins. after last runner has finished. Must be present to win.
Medals presented to the top three males and females in each of the following categories: 15 & Under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.
